Riding the Roller Coaster

Phew! I made it to P day.

So, imagine you are on a really crazy, big, fast, exciting, loopety loopety roller coaster. Oh, and you are wearing a white shirt and tie. Welcome to missionary life.

But its a good thing I love rollercoasters!!

This week was good. We weren't able to visit a whole lot of people. We weren't able to find any new investigators. Golden referrals didn't fall from the skies and bus loads of people didn't come to church. But the Lord still blessed us for our desire to serve.

There are a few families working with some people, and one of them informed us that they had a friend who would like to be taught! Our ward mission leader, Brother V, is also working with a friend. He is meeting with him today, and is planning on inviting him to hear the discussions. So, even when it seems like not much is coming from your efforts, the Lord still blesses you. He truly is preparing people.

I've learned that we all have talents and abilities that we can share. So, find your talents and use them! The Lord is able to work through us, no matter how insignificant our efforts may seem. Your efforts will have a greater effect on people than you can truly imagine.

What spiritual insight did you gain this week or have you been thinking of this week?

The Atonement applies to every aspect of our lives. As we come unto Christ we come to change. That is what this is all about. Change. Becoming more like Christ and Heavenly Father.

What lesson did you learn the most from this week?

Patience. But I learned that as you try to understand others (like your companion) its easier to be patient.

Who have you been able to teach this week?

We taught some less actives and recent converts this week. So that was good. We have some things set up for this week with potential investigators, so that is awesome!

Best meal of the week?

Hamburgers :)

Best experience with your companion this week?

He is still out here! That is my best experience with him this week :)

Best experience being District Leader this week? 

On Sundays I get numbers from them. I get to call and talk about their investigators, about how they are doing, and about how the work is going. So that is always fun and enjoyable.

I love you mom! Thanks for being such a great mother! I'll never forget all you have done for me.
