 It's your birthday - shout hooray!!

Happy 19th Birthday Elder Call!!

 I had a great time getting things ready for your birthday package. We started getting it 

ready in August and shipped it off so it would get to you in time. We used a medium size

flat rate box - that cost $43 to send. We hope you like it! Here are some of the things we put in there.

If you really know Spenc, you will know exactly why we sent the things we did!

 Balloons (cause what's a birthday without decorating everything??!!!), BACON!!, cinnamon muffin mix

(his favorite), nutter butters (another favorite), dried mangos...yummm., fruit cups, chocolate bar 

& mints?? (I know he doesn't like candy AT ALL....I wrapped those for his companion!!),

candles, a pie crust (so he can add ice cream to make his favorite ice cream pie),

vanilla wafer cookies (again so he can add vanilla ice cream for ice cream sandwiches..yumm!)

the Rocky quote he wanted, deodorant (inside joke with me!!), a bag of red sand from

Southern Utah (his request for someone there who collects sand!!), a ton of family photos,

over 20 homemade birthday cards from friends, family and neighbors, a thumb drive full of

music for his car (yes! they can put in a regular old thumb drive in their car and listen to

music!) and another camera thumb drive so he can actually send photos home!! 

(and yes, a Beefy 5 Layer Burrito!!)

I wrapped up these treats seperatly for his companion! I wrote on the cards,

  I know, you're wondering how the heck did I send him a Beefy 5 Layer Burrito

from Taco Bell!!!?? Again, for those of you who know Spenc, he LOVES Taco Bell!

Unfortunately in Calgary, they don't sell Beefy 5 Layers (his favortie)!! So I purchased a package

of bacon (his next favorite...haha!). Then I stopped by Taco Bell and asked for a Beefy 5 Layer

wrapper. (yes, I got strange looks!). Then I wrote on the Bacon package "Bacon - the next

best thing to Taco Bell" and I wrapped it in the Taco Bell wrapper. Haha! We are always

doing silly stuff for birthdays....well, mainly he is. He usually wraps his siblings gifts in about

12 layers of duct tape, foil, saran wrap, paper, etc... :)

 I picked up the bball at the dollar store and we each wrote a message on it to him!

It was a fun package to put together! I was so thankful to hear that it arrived in time! 

I know he is going to have a fabulous birthday in Canada. It makes my heart so happy that

so many people up there care about him so much to want to make his day a special one.

Thank you for your example, love, devotion, sweet spirit, gentleness, kindness, and

your love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! There is no where else we'd rather have you be

on this day than with the people you love so much - the sweet people of Calgary Canada!
