Yay for Pdays!

Dear People of the Globe,
Woo! Its Pday! I'm finding out how important Pdays are. So completely and totally necessary to missionary work. I love pdays!
Anywho, its transfers!! But, I'm not getting transfered which makes me really happy!! Woo! So, that means that I'll end up spending my first six months in the Panorama ward! So let me tell you how life in the mission is. Its hard, fun, crazy, exciting, up and down, challenging, stressful, exhilerating, fantastic, rough, and great! If that makes any sense to you, you are either crazy or you are an RM {return missionary}, haha! Because pretty much the mission is filled with things that you can never experience anywhere else.
So let me tell you how much I hate buses. So Elder Smith and I are walking around when we see this guy waiting for a bus. We go over and start talking with him and the first thing he asks is what church we are from. Score! We start talking and WHAM! The bus shows up and he rushes over and leaves. So I'm not fond of buses. But hopefully we will see him again sometime!!
V is doing well. We met with her twice this week which was great! But she didn't make it to General Conference. Ah! I don't think I've ever stressed so much about someone coming to church in my whole life! But, we are staying positive and we are going to keep moving forward!
Have I told you about R? He's the guy that some missionaries referred to us. And he wants to be baptized! Woo!! So, his wife is coming in this week and we are going to set up a baptismal date with them. Which makes me so happy! We met with R last week and he is pretty solid. He has a wife and two kids, and he said, "I want to be baptized then be a missionary." Hahaha! So awesome right?? He's a great guy. Golden, as missionaries would say! :)
I realized this week that working hard is hard! Kinda funny right? But true! If we want to be successful we have got to work hard! That goes for every aspect of life. But the benefits of it are great, as I am seeing!
So the work goes well! Oh, don't let me forget Missionary Christmas! General Conference! Woohooo!! My favorite talk was President Uchtdorfs during Priesthood Session. It was so great. So I won't spoil it by telling you about it, just watch it on lds.org! {http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/10/you-can-do-it-now?lang=eng}
The Church is true! Christ lives and He has His arms stretched out continually to help us. All we have to do is come unto Him. And if we do we receive so much happiness! So come unto Christ! And no need to be afraid of sharing your love of the gospel with others!!
You guys are great!!
Love,
Elder Call

{this morning in family scripture study we read 3 Nephi Chapter 9 which reminded me of this letter above that Spencer sent earlier this week. It reads  "Behold, mine carm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.  15 Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I acreated the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. bI am in the Father, and the Father in me; and in me hath the Father glorified his name." I love the tender mercies and amazing reminders we recieve through reading the scriptures!

And his sweet little letter to his mama. He also writes individual emails to his dad, brother, and three sisters! {I mentioned to him that it was cooling down around here....his response}

The 50s are cold?? What?? Last week that was our high!! Ah!! During the nights it gets down to 0 {Celcius}!! (32 degrees fahrenheit). Glad the family is doing well, and they are all having fun with their activities!! Way to go Zac {for finishing the book he has been reading}!! That is so awesome!! Oh, as far as Christmas presents... hm... well my favorite birthday present was the basketball that you all signed! So something creative like that! Oh, and letters for sure!! I loved the birthday letters!! And the pictures!! Oh, and that french fries, gravy and cheese curds is called poutine! Its actually not too bad! Thanks for your emails mom. And the letters from the family too! Its so great to have such a fantastic support group from back home. I love you all so much! I am so happy to be your son. Thanks for all that you do for me!!
Did you miss having homemade donuts after Priesthood session this year??? :)
Yes!! I was craving some doughnuts...
Do you have a favorite hymn or two? If so, which ones? (this just came to my mind while listening to music during conference and I was curious if you had any favorites)
My absolute favorite hymn is A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief. We used to sing it in seminary and stuff but we would only sing the first 3 verses, and the song doesn't make any sense if you don't sing the whole thing. One time while singing at Kolob we sung all seven verses, by request of Bowen, and the Spirit was so strong. It has been my favorite ever since.
How is your toothache / ear ache??? Did you ever get that looked at?? If not, is it still bothering you at all??
I haven't had it looked at but I am doing fine! Its all ok. No worries mom :)
Does your camera thumb drive work for downloading / sending pictures?
Yes! I'll send some here in a minute or two!
I love you so much mom!!
Love,
Your son, Elder Call
