God will always be greater than any storm we face

Dear mom,
I love you! Hm... I guess I'll start out answering your questions...

How has your first week being 19 been??
Good? Hard? Fun? All the above I guess! Its been a pretty sweet week.
What kinds of winter clothes did you and Elder Smith shop for? What are you needing to purchase?
Um... we haven't shopped yet. Probably need to get on that! But it is starting to get cold out, which isn't good. We've used our sweaters already, haha!
Have you had to use your big jacket yet?
Nope! Thank goodness its not that cold yet!
Christmas is a few months away, but is there anything you'd like us to send inparticular?
Not that I can think of right now. I'll let ya know though!
How is R doing? How about D? Have you been able to teach them or serve them this week?
We haven't been able to meet with him yet, but we are definitely trying!
Same with D, but we have something set up for this week, so I'll let ya know!
What is the best thing about Elder Smith this week?
He has had some really good suggestions on how to fix problems, and how to work better, so it has been good! He's learning a lot and I'm learning a lot from him!
What is the best thing about Elder Call :) this week? The biggest challenge?
um... good question! Well, I've been learning how to cook/bake which is good! The biggest challenge? Being patient. Definitely a characteristic of Christ I want to obtain.
Where will you and Elder Smith watch Conference? Church? Someones home?
Either works! Depends if they want us over at their homes, haha!!

This week has been great! I'll let you know all the good stuff in the Big Kahuna. But I just want to let you know that I love you mom! I appreciate your love and kindness and for the help that you have given to me. You are truly a kind and loving mother and daughter of God. I loved hearing about your conversion story. I keep it with me in my scriptures. Your testimony is strong, and the gospel has obviously blessed you and our family. I love you so much mom!!

Love,
Elder Call

And the letter to everyone....

Dear World,

Elder Call here! So this week was pretty fantastic. We've been working with a lady named V and a few weeks ago we felt we should invite her to be baptized. Well let me first tell you that Satan is a hard worker. We weren't able to meet with her for about 2 weeks, but we finally got to visit with her. Phew! The lesson was amazing. She's been making lots of changes in her life and we invited her to be baptized. And she accepted!! It was amazing. She said she is going to think about a date, and she wants us to help her prepare more. It was so great! I was so happy and excited for her. She had her grandkids over, and one of them kept crying which almost ended the lesson before we could invite her to be baptized. But it all worked out! I am so happy!

The rest of the week went ok! We had some less actives at church, we were able to give away some Book of Mormons on the street, and yea, it went great! We are definitely seeing miracles happen, even if they are small ones. The Lord is giving us lots of opportunities to share the gospel.

Well, let me tell ya that the mission is fantastic! Yea it is hard. Rough. Challenging. Exhausting. But let me tell you also that it is worth it. It reminds me of a quote that goes, "Do you tell your God how bad your storms are or do you tell your storms how great your God is?" Because God will always be greater than any storm that we face. And He will certainly help us through our challenges no matter how big or small.

God loves us and is watching over us. Christ's church is on the earth today and the Book of Mormon is the word of God. And no one can shake me from that.

We've got the greatest blessing! The gospel! I believe it was President Monson who said, "Regarding ones testimony: that which one willingly shares he keeps, while that which he selfishly keeps he loses." So go out and share your testimony. I can promise you that your testimony will grow so much as you share it!

The Church is true!

Love,
Elder Call
