Rocky Mountain Oysters

Dear Mom,

Hahahahaha, oh man. That is pretty funny that you thought those were just oysters! Haha! Oh I wish I could have seen your face! Woo-eee! That's funny.
How was hump day? Did you receive the envelope we mailed you with our Hump Day wishes? Did you do anything specific to honor your one year mark?
Yes! Haha I loved it! Thank you for your pictures of camels and for your loving words! I loved it! I think I'm going to burn a shirt today :)
Did you happen to have anything else delivered your way? Like maybe a package from home? :) Just curious!!
Hahaha, yes I did receive that package and I absolutely loved it! Thank you!
Have you eaten anything else crazy this week?
Nothing as crazy as those oysters that I had!
Best thing that happened with Elder Madsen this week?
We are working together and having fun and I love it!
Best part of being a ZL?
Helping people out! That actually really helps me feel successful, helping out the zone.
How many wards did you go to on Sunday?
Four... I think... Its crazy...
Do you want a couple more short sleeve shirts for summer? I think you only have two??
I think two should be enough. I'll let you know. Thanks mom!
Have you been sick at all? Any aches or pains? Toothaches? Ears? Joints? (once a mom, always a mom) :)
Nah I have been doing fine. Our Zone has been sick but I've been just fine!
Any great lessons taught this week to less actives, members, or investigators?
We taught a less active who has people for us to teach! Woo!! I'll let you know more in the Big Kahuna.

Hope you are enjoying summer mom! Have a great week and have some fun with the family! I love you!

Love,
Elder Call

Dear everyone,
Hey there! So this week was a pretty great one. Let me explain a few stories.

So, we are having lunch at Lighthouse for my one year celebration. I had to use the washroom, and when I get back there is a man in a wheelchair talking with my companion and the other Cardston Elders. Well, apparently he had been hit a few months earlier by some sister missionaries as he was trying to wheel himself across the street. Right now he's in the middle of trying to sue the church. So he came over and was talking with us when we realized we had to take off to go to service. Well, before we left Elder Madsen asked if there was anything that we could do for him. Ha! Want to know what his answer was? "Well, you can teach me more about your church!" Haha, how sweet is that? I think we can do that for him. The Lord works in mysterious ways... even if it involves hitting someone with a car to introduce them to the church!

Ok, another story. So we have been meeting with this less active named Franky. Super great guy. He's been doing really well and reading his scriptures pretty consistently and is starting to come back around to church. He's even been doing a Book of Mormon and Bible study with some of his neighbors at his house. And guess what? He told us that three of them want to meet with us! Woo!! So we are planning on meeting with them this upcoming week.

Hm... what's next... So, like I've mentioned before, we've been doing a ton of service. So this week we were able to help a non-member move in. We weren't able to stay for very long, but we were able to introduce ourselves and help unload a bit. Well before we go we talk with her and she thanks us for coming by and then invites us to come back to visit! Oh so cool! So we were able to get her number and we are planning to go back this week. She has a family of six or seven so that will be awesome!!

Oh, and this week I was also able to go on exchanges with the Elders in Magrath. Ha, I was actually on exchanges with an Elder who was at our state basketball tournament and he was cheering against me! Ha, so we have a good rivalry. But the exchange was sweet and we had a good time. We went to a seminary class who has one of their investigators in it, and turns out their is a non-member girl in their seminary class who lives in our area and wants to be taught! So they were able to get the address and number for her and we should be visiting with her this week!

We also got in contact with the chief! He didn't offer us any daughters to wife, and we weren't able to guard his flocks and cut off arms, in fact he was actually just busy at the moment, so we are going to stop by him later.

So pretty much I am just thankful to be in a position to see all these amazing things happening. I really can't take credit for any of these things, but I'm just super happy to be here! Its cool to see how the Lord is preparing people to receive the gospel in their lives!

The Church is true!!

Love,
Elder Call
