Be like the moon

{We received this letter on Wednesday August 21st}

Dear people who read this,
Ok so here is the big news for the week. Transfers {when missionaries hear if they are staying in their area or being "transferred" to another area within their mission} are coming up on the 28th {August} right? Yea, so I am going to be training one of the new missionaries then! AHH! Crazy stuff. I still don't know what to think, because that was me not too long ago, haha! But we'll see how it goes, haha! I'm pretty excited, and I'm pretty nervous as well, but I'm sure with the Lord's help I can do it! I was actually just thinking about something today. It was something one of my MTC teachers said. She said, "Always be in a place where you know you need the Lord." So pretty much just be humble enough to know you always need the Lord. And being a trainer, I will definitely need the Lord. So we'll see how it works out :)
I was able to go to the {Calgary Canada} Temple this week as well! It was so amazing. The Temple is so, so peaceful. I love being there. It was definitely one of the highlights of my week!
Oh, so one of the Manderin Elders finished their mission, so his companion, Elder Hancey, was left with no one! So, he got to come with us! He is a really cool Elder. We've spent a lot of time on p-day with him, so we're already pretty good buds! So that has been fun! We are teaching someone in Chinese today, so we'll see how that goes!
Oh, so in my studies the other day I made a pretty cool analogy. So you know how the moon reflects the light of the sun right? Well we are to be just like the moon. We should continually reflect the love of the Savior to everyone. So my invitation to everyone is to be a moon! Find someone this week who is in need and help them! Reflect the Savior's love. {I love this!}
Wow, so pretty much missions are awesome. I love it out here! Canada is pretty sweet. The do have some weird things though. Like all of their stop lights are sideways, and their speed limits are so much lower, and they use minivans for cop cars. It's pretty fantastic! Canada is great. I'm excited for the winter... just kidding, not really. I'll probably freeze to death. So we'll see how that works out!
Well, wish me luck with training, haha!
I know the church is true, that God loves us, that He hears and answers our prayers, and I know of a surety that Christ is our Savior. I know that living the gospel will bring the greatest happiness we can find into our lives.
I love you all!!
Love,
Elder Call

I will be a moon. I so love this and very profound, Jesus is with you all the way. I am so proud of Elder Spencer Call, my sweet grandson.
