The Birthday Boy

I couldn't not share this post. These pictures.

And most of all the sweet letter he wrote {below} about his birthday.

When I mailed off his package {see previous post}, I sent it with a prayer that 

he would have a great 19th birthday.

Prayers were answered.

He certainly had a blessed birthday.

 I'm not sure how his whole day went, but I know it started out AMAZING!!

Franny, marvelous, wonderful Franny served him and his companion

birthday breakfast. Smoothies, cinnamon rolls {without frosting!!}, breakfast burritos..

the works!! Talk about spoiled and treated like a king!!

Sure love seeing his amazing smile!

Sister Pratt made him his most favorite "cake" of all time - Ice Cream Pie

I'm certain that he was in heaven!!

 I'm pretty sure that day was the huge canned food drive throughout Calgary that they participated in.

Nothing like giving back and serving others!

That night he was able to open his package. It was STUFFED full of love!

 And here is the sweet letter that he wrote to us about his birthday.

Ok, so this letter is to my family :)

 

So I just wanted to thank you all for making my birthday so amazing. It may sound weird, but it was probably the most spiritual birthday I've ever had. I felt like you were all there. It brought back so many great memories that we have all had with each other. As I read each of your letters it was a big smack to the face on how much I love each of you. Most birthdays, I open my presents and see what cool things I got, and I count up my money that I recieved. But this birthday, the thing I was excited for most was to look through the pictures you sent, and especially to read all the letters. You all made me feel so great. I warned Elder Smith that I would probably cry when I read through the letters and if he didn't want to watch me read them he didn't have too, haha! So he went to bed, ha! So yes, I did cry. It was just a huge realization of how much I love each of you. You have all done so much for me. I love each of you and I can't even explain how incredible each of you are. Keep moving forward! The Lord has great things in store for each of you. We all have weakness, we all have sin, but He has provided a way to get past all of that. So use the gift of the Atonement. He loves you so much!! And I love you all too. Thanks so much for being the best family ever. I hope you all have a great week!

PS It was so weird not having him with us on his birthday! 

So we celebrated him by going out to Taco Bell together!! 

$1 Taco Bell Icees in the afternoon

  And Taco Bell for dinner that night! Even Gramma Call came with us!
