Elder Madsen & Call ZL's
I have been loving the weather here. It got up to 34 degrees! That is Celcius, by the way. There have been some good slurpie days, that is for sure!
We've been focusing a lot lately on finding people to teach. Jonathan has some major drug problems and we are probably going to pass him off to the Addiction Recovery Program to try to help him overcome those before we continue to teach him.
So we've hit the streets! We've kept up the street singing, which has been super fun and has worked out quite well. And while on exchanges this week with Elder Clarke we went street contacting and had some good success!
We've found a few people that way. There was a less active native named Elvis we talked to and he said that his wife wants to join the church! Woo! We are meeting with him and his family on Wednesday.
We met a native from the reserve who turned out to be a preacher for the Anglican church I believe. We offered him a Book of Mormon, but he already had the quad! How crazy is that? Really nice guy, said we could come over and visit with him sometime.
Those have been some fun experiences! We've been working on getting ourselves out there and being spontaneous, so I've enjoyed that. It is great to have opportunities every day to bear testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. It has been amazing to do that!
This is the most important journey that anyone could embark on in their entire lives. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I'd invite all of you to have the missionaries in your home or to visit with them online at http://www.mormon.org/chat
It will be well worth your time!
The church is true!

Hey there mom! Thanks for your email. And thanks for sending the others words as well! (I sent Spencer some of the replies I received from emailing out his last weekly letter) Ha, I love my other moms! But no worries, I love you most. :) I am happy to hear that you and dad were able to make it to the Temple. You are right! It is such a great place. I love it there. It is great that you two were able to do that every week when you were first married. You should definitely keep doing that every week! I don't have much experience being married, haha, but I can imagine that it would be incredibly beneficial to make it to the Temple every week. Oh, and I hope you have a blast at Youth Conference!
How is Elder Madsen doing? He must only have a couple months left??
He is doing good! He only has 2 months left. Pretty crazy! He is still working hard though, so that is good.
How are Y O U doing??
I am doing good! I am still alive, breathing, functioning. I've been doing good with all the Zone Leader stuff. We had Zone Training this week and that went well. We've got a great Zone. There is 6 or 7 people on date to be baptized in the Zone within the next month, so that is exciting!
Things are going pretty good! We've been focusing a ton on finding people to teach, and that has been going pretty well! I really loved your stories from your email. The Temple is so important! Thanks for keeping Elder Madsen and I in mind. Hope that this week is a good one for you.
Oh, I've got a question, so, in your life and your years as a mother, how do you feel are the best ways to help people to progress and to get along with people? We have a lot of different people here in the Zone and we really want to help them all to become better and we want to get along with them so we can help them. Let me know what you think. Thanks mom! I love you!
Love,
Elder Call

I love the advice he asks of you, he sounds like a very wise young man. It's so fun that he and Elder Spencer are both Zone Leaders at the same time! Missionary letters make me feel very optimistic about the future, don't you think? =)
