Transferred to Calgary!
Companions and ZL's with Elder Jacobs

Hello World! I am now back in Calgary! I am now serving in the Fish Creek YSA Ward in Southern Calgary. I'm serving with Elder Jacobs, from Las Vegas.

This week we had a cool experience. We were at dinner my second night here in Calgary and there was a non-member invited to it. Elder Jacobs and I were sitting down after finishing dinner and the non-member, Camille, was playing guitar. She then asked if anyone could play and Elder Jacobs took the opportunity to talk with her and quickly said that he could! So, she came and talked with us. We started talking about her work, and how she is a public speaker for a company that promotes self-improvement and worth and life skills and that sort of thing. It was really neat! She showed us a few things, and then started asking about our missions and missionary work. She was quite intrigued and kept asking questions. Well, we ended up teaching her a few things about our church, and she ended up accepting to hear more! It was awesome!! Elder Jacobs and I talked afterwards, and both of us agreed that it was so easy because the members invited her. It makes it so easy when members join in the work and invite their friends to meet the missionaries! It was awesome!!

We also had the chance this week to go to downtown Calgary as a Zone and contact people. It was pretty sweet! It was a pretty big culture shock from Cardston!! But it was fun to get out there and contact some people. Calgary is crazy!!

It was hard saying goodbye to Cardston, but Calgary will be a good change.

Hey there Mom!! So I guess I'll start by answering some of your questions...

Where exactly are you in Canada? Ward? Town? Area?

I'm in the Calgary South Zone! I'm serving in Fish Creek YSA Ward, which is sweet!!

Are you a ZL? Or a trainer? Or just an awesome. happy, incredible companion to your comp?

I'm still just a ZL! :)

Who is your companion? Where is he from? How long has he been serving? What is he like?

Elder Jacobs. He's from Las Vegas. He is a pretty sweet guy. Really nice! He's been serving for 15 months. He came out the transfer after I did.

Where do you live? Basement apartment? Apartment? Hammock? Haha :)

We live in an apartment, which is sweet!! Its my first time really living in an apartment. I'm loving it!!

Do you have a car / truck / bike?

We have a car, but we are supposed to be getting a truck this week!

Spiritual moment of the week?

Probably going to church. I went with a few questions, and I've learned the more you ask questions the more you get answers, and I definitely got answers! Its neat to see Heavenly Father answer our prayers.

Most awesome missionary experience of the week?

I went with Elder Clabaux to downtown Calgary this week. It was sweet! We talk with quite a few people and got some good contacts to pass off to other missionaries, so that was neat!

Thanks for the update on the family! The new 11th ward seems pretty sweet. Tell Hunter and Ma and Pa Graff hi for me! Hey and glad to hear about Dad's setting apart. That is pretty neat. Sounds like a really good experience for everyone. Dad will do a great job with his new calling. 

Congrats on finishing the Book of Mormon again! I'm glad that you are starting again as well. That is awesome!! It definitely is really cool to see the strength that comes from reading the scriptures every day. So neat! Keep reading and letting me know what you are learning! Thank you for your advice and for your prayers. I really appreciate that! Thanks for that Mom!! I hope that the family is doing well. I love all of you! Thanks again for everything mom. I love you so much!
