Keep Moving Forward

ZL with Elder Jacobs
YSA Ward Cardston

I think that is the motto from last week....Keep Moving Forward
So a few experiences.

On Fridays we have the opportunity as a Zone to go to Downtown Calgary and street contact. We challenged everyone that day to talk with 100 people. So, we go out and hit the ground running! We're talking with people like crazy! I ran into a few interesting people. It was fun. I was doing really well, and then I ran into a guy that was just incredibly frustrated that I came and talked with him and had a few not-too-nice things to say to me. Well, I was pretty bummed!! But, I decided to leave those thoughts behind and Keep Moving Forward!! I ended up running into a few people that were really interested after that. Including a homeless man, who said, "I can't give up, I've just got too much faith!" So, don't give up! Keep Moving Forward! You never know what will happen as you exercise your faith!

So, next story. Elder Jacobs and I were out stopping by a less active. He wasn't home so we tracted a bit. A few doors opened, but nothing too exciting happened. We were about to leave and felt we should stay a little longer. So we talked to some people on the street and knocked a few more doors. We were going to leave again and felt like we should stay a little longer. So we did. We knocked a few more doors and ran into Yasin. We talked with her about Christ and she said she wasn't sure if she believed in Him. So we gave her a Book of Mormon and she said she would read it. It was so incredible!!

So, we go back on Saturday with a guy who is preparing for his mission. We get there and the Book of Mormon is sitting there with a note that says, "Thanks but no thank you. Good luck!" Elder Jacobs and I were pretty bummed. But we decided hey, we have this future missionary with us so we went out to stop by a less active nearby. Well, she wasn't home so we tracted. And, we found someone for the sisters in the area to teach! It was awesome!!

So, Keep Moving Forward! You can't give up, you've just got too much faith! You never know what will be around the corner as you exercise your faith! Miracles happen!!

Love,
Elder Call
